Felipe Segovia Sanhueza

ABOUT

Felipe Segovia Sanhueza (he/him) is a composer, orchestrator, music director and choral conductor born and raised in Chile and currently based in New York, with a focus on bringing new Spanish-language work and Chilean stories to the biggest theatre and concert stages.

He’s best known for his work in musical theater, featured both in Chile and New York City, including “Talcahuano, el musical” (Music, Lyrics and Orchestrations), “Café con Leche: A New Musical” (Arrangements and Orchestrations), “MISTRAL: A Spanish-English Musical” (Music and Orchestrations) and “Make it A Double (Take)” (Music).


Outside the world of musical theater, he has composed for dance, opera, and the concert stage. His original choral piece Recuerdo was the winner of the New Music for New York 2025 competition by the Manhattan Choral Ensemble and received its World Premiere at the DiMenna Center for Classical Music in 2025.
